It's interesting when you realize that your whole life, day and night, especially night, revolves around trying to get an infant to fall asleep. Sometimes that's all you accomplish all day. And you're sitting on the edge of your bed, rocking a car seat on the floor at two in the morning, while a stuffed sheep plays ocean sounds (thanks Marcilyn), and it's fine. Pretty great, even.
i remember having this exact thought. we used a bear that sounds like a heartbeat. my life still revolves around infant sleep but it got a lot easier at 3 months and with the addition of a baby swing.
