64 degrees and the best Labor Day of all time

I've been wanting fall to come for a month now. I think I got so much out of summer early on that it was just a natural progression of things. Went to yard sales, swam at the pool, drank my weight in Route 44 strawberry limeades, went to baseball games and the state fair, took a road trip to the beach. See, plenty of summer. Then it got grossly hot and humid and ever harder for me to walk up the stairs to our apartment, and I just wanna wear my plaid pea coat, is that so much to ask? Well, I guess it's not because today was so chilly that I had to have a blanket and a cardigan to sit on the porch.

While I wouldn't mind one last swim in the pool, I'll be all right if this is the end of summer. Fare thee well.

  2. This makes me happy for you but sick for me. My summer was probably the lamest summer of all time. As great as it was to enjoy some of it, we didn't do anything "summer" like. Switzerland just doesn't know how to do this whole summer thing. {but it didnt help that my husband was sick for a few weeks of it and then a month of it is spent with a broken ankle} Hopefully Fall is radical.

  3. i'm jealous of your proximity to sonic. we have to drive an hour for that strawberry limeade with the perfectly crushed ice.

hope the rain cools things down for you guys. this has been a cruel, cruel summer.
